I definitely live in NYC

Finally - we made it out to the Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island. We've been saving the more touristy things like this to do with others - we know that everyone that visits will want to do the tour, so we held off instead of going on our own.

The boat ride out was fabulous. Pulling out from the pier.

Lady Liberty herself

Strike a pose

She's copper underneath her green coat of rust

Manhattan skyline from Liberty Island

Completely random, but statue of the designer of the Eiffel Tower

Watching her walk

A ferry over to Ellis Island afterwards - we toured the Immigration Museum and found it amazing. The exhibits were incredible, and I highly recommend this to anyone who comes to visit. It's also free (after you buy your ticket to the Statue of Liberty) which I found refreshing.

The museum - you were processed here, lived here, medical examinations here, everything here

Photos when you first walk in

The 3rd floor (dormitory) overlooking the receiving room

What a great trip - one of my favorite things we've done so far.
